Relay for life and Camping

Ok so my awesome aunt Kim (a multiple cancer survivor) has been really invovled with the Realy for Life project in Bear Lake (where she lives) and is actually planning and organizing the Relay for LIfe in Montpelier at Bear Lake high.  Well at the end of this month she has helped organize a fundraiser and wanted different members of her Relay team (which includes me and my fam) to make things to sell at her fundraiser.  I went garage sale-ing yesterday (and ran into my sis in law from seattle--Holla!) and found some really cool things i thought I could "make" something out of and then sell them for (hopefully) a profit.  Phew!  Long story I guess... anyway here are somethings I did yesterday.  SOme of them may be staying at my house... :)

I think i want to outline the letters on this post, and sand the sides.  COmments welcome.  I want it to be cute so i can make more money for the sale. hehe
I put some herbs in this old bread tin box and i thnk its way cute.  It was painted 1995 forest green before and had a bunch of Kitchy decorations to put on top...someof which are being remodeled as well...... :)
We also went camping yesterday up at High Creek in Cove.  SOOOOOOO pretty right now.  Scouts first camp out and he Luvved it fo sho.  Do you like his crazy evil eyes?  Red eye remover wont do a thing for it :)
Me and scout snugglin in the tent
Matt took some totally cool pics at night of the river.  Hes got talent!
Me and my bff Jamie chillin by the fire.  Love Her!!!

So far the weekend has been so fun, other than we woke up to pouring rain and packed up the truck at 7 a.m.  Yup ya heard me 7.  Barf!  (actually thats what scout did on the way up...poor baby gets car sick.  ya hes our baby)

Not long enough weekend

Well I know I havent posted for a while (sorry ang). My camera was dead forever, and I didnt remember to charge it, but I finally have new pics of the 4th of July weekend. On thursday night we watched the fireworks from our friends house--they just had a new baby and she is beutiful! it was a lot of fun. Friday we slept in which was totally cool, then we went camping agian, up to Franklin Basin.
Matt and I in our camping spot
This time we went to a different spot about 10 miles from the highway turnoff, all the way up into Idaho.
Franklin Basin road, right after entering Idaho
Matt durning Croquet
Its a really pretty spot wide open with trees all around the outside, so we played frisbee (glow in the dark frisbee) and velcro ball, and croquet. It was so much fun. My best friend Jamie, and her boyfriend Dustin, and Jamies brother Tyler and his wife Kristy, and 2 more friends stayed the first night.
Our camp spot is in those trees
Matt looking for deer
Matt and I spent a long time down by the road looking for elk and deer and playing velcro ball. Later in the night we made some pretty dank tinners (tin foil dinners)...Mmmmm! In the morning, Matt and I left and drove further up into Idaho, over to Egan Basin and saw a couple deer, and lots of snow!
In Egan Basin
The snow drift in this picture was just one of many we drove over, or by. We went to the cabin at Bear Lake Saturday morning, and had the best time playing in the lake. The water was so nice! My parents came over with my bro Trev and Kristin and Rigdon. We had lunch and headed down to the lake. It was a blast. By Sunday morning, I was worn out, and tired, so we came home. It was such a fun weekend, and I definitely didnt want it to end. We are super stoked for our trip to Colorado for the 24th in about a week! Matt has never been to Colorado, and we are driving by ourselves, leaving the 19th and meeting my parents and James in Sanford on the 22nd. We are gonna catch a Rockies game, and see as much as we can in 9 days! I cant wait :)

Wild Weekend

Well, it was a way fun and crazy busy weekend for us. Friday night was spent preparing for our Yard Sale that Matt and I had on Saturday. It was a lot of work, but turned out a success! We just had fun chillin in the driveway, and relaxing once everything was put out. After it was done, we put out a bunch of boxes that I just wrote FREE! on, and by the afternoon, they were all gone! Im glad someone got use out of my old clothes, and junk :) After the yard sale, we went to Summerfest for lunch. We ran into a bunch of friends, and all of Matts sisters and Mom. It was the first really nice day we had and it was pretty warm!

After summerfest we took a much needed nap and got ready for camping! We Camping on Saturday night to our favorite canyon--Franklin Basin, for the first time this year, and it is absolutely beutiful! We had a lot of fun! I can wait to go back!!! We took some pretty cool pics of the sunset, and stopped at Logan Cave on the way back home :) Logan Canyon is the prettiest place on earth!

Sunday afternoon was spent with our families, because of Father's Day. Happy Fathers day to My Dad, and My father in Law--Jim. The 2 best dads ever! Were lucky to have way cool Dads :) I wouldn't trade mine for the world!!!!! My cousin Jakob Larsen got his eagle progect award, and we went to a little thing at the park in Wellsville, my Aunt Lorraine was up visiting from Colorado, and it was so fun to see her! Sad the weekend is over!

Camping trip #1--sort of

Well, we finally did it. We went camping this weekend. Kinda... we hung out by a fire, and sat in camp chairs, and cooked food on a camp stove, but we were at Sherwood hills, and yes, we did stay in a room, and not our tent. A couple friends were taking their camp trailers up to Sherwood hills (where they work) to camp for the night. We werent completely sold on the idea of rounding up all of our camping stuff, so we werent gonna go. Then, we got offered a room, for free, and I was like were there! We had a lot of fun.
Just some really close friends went, and it was a blast! When Matt and I wanted to go to bed, we just walked down to the hotel and got in bed. So nice! But I cant wait to go camping again!
