Happy Birthday Matt!!!

Tomorrow is Matt's 27th birthday! I just wanted to tell him HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY! I hope its the best day ever. Last night we had a little shin dig with his family. It was a little early, but since we are leaving on Vacation tomorrow, we wanted to celebrate before. He got a cool flashlight and some extra moolah for the trip. It was a really fun time. He actually made his own birthday cake because I was working, and didnt have time. The neices and nephews were concerned about fire hazards with 27 candles on the cake, so they just put a few on there. Somehow Matt still managed to blow them all out with one try... :) Happy Birthday Babe!

Not long enough weekend

Well I know I havent posted for a while (sorry ang). My camera was dead forever, and I didnt remember to charge it, but I finally have new pics of the 4th of July weekend. On thursday night we watched the fireworks from our friends house--they just had a new baby and she is beutiful! it was a lot of fun. Friday we slept in which was totally cool, then we went camping agian, up to Franklin Basin.

This time we went to a different spot about 10 miles from the highway turnoff, all the way up into Idaho.

Its a really pretty spot wide open with trees all around the outside, so we played frisbee (glow in the dark frisbee) and velcro ball, and croquet. It was so much fun. My best friend Jamie, and her boyfriend Dustin, and Jamies brother Tyler and his wife Kristy, and 2 more friends stayed the first night.

Matt and I spent a long time down by the road looking for elk and deer and playing velcro ball. Later in the night we made some pretty dank tinners (tin foil dinners)...Mmmmm! In the morning, Matt and I left and drove further up into Idaho, over to Egan Basin and saw a couple deer, and lots of snow!

The snow drift in this picture was just one of many we drove over, or by. We went to the cabin at Bear Lake Saturday morning, and had the best time playing in the lake. The water was so nice! My parents came over with my bro Trev and Kristin and Rigdon. We had lunch and headed down to the lake. It was a blast. By Sunday morning, I was worn out, and tired, so we came home. It was such a fun weekend, and I definitely didnt want it to end. We are super stoked for our trip to Colorado for the 24th in about a week! Matt has never been to Colorado, and we are driving by ourselves, leaving the 19th and meeting my parents and James in Sanford on the 22nd. We are gonna catch a Rockies game, and see as much as we can in 9 days! I cant wait :)

Mini-Vacay

Well, in my last post I complained about how cold it is here, but boy let me tell you! Cache Valley is tropical right now compared to Jackson Hole! We went this weekend mostly to watch our loyal homie Nick Ropelato compete in the 2008 Jackson Hole World Championship Hill Climbs! He ran the first day and qualified in first out of about 25 people! I was really proud of him, as were all of our friends that were there to support him! Go Rope!

But anyway, we had a blast even though it was freezing cold! The wind blew like 25 mph and it snowed a lot! The food was great! We managed to eat at The Merry Piglets (a longtime fav of my fam). It was really fun. We took a couple rides to see herds of Elk. Thousands of Elk literally everywhere you look as far as you can see. They are still in their winter range, and it was a stunning sight! We were supposed to come home on sunday, but it was bad weather so we decided to wait and come on Monday. It was CRAZY! Matt and I both decided they were the worst roads we have ever rode on. It was snowing like mad, and blowing like 5 foot drifts on the road all the way through Hoback and Tincup. I was literally scared to death. But it turned out fine, and I have never been so excited to be in Soda Springs, Idaho in my life!
Even though it was kinda short, we had so much fun together and didnt want to come home for sure! Back to the grind, but I am noticing signs of spring so maybe things will get better.
